Over the last 48 days, you challenged yourself to lessen your individual impact on our fragile blue planet.
In 2016, thousands of people from around the globe participated in #48DaysOfBlue and created a tremendous impact on the recovery of our ocean!
Here are a few highlights from 2016:
By making small changes to our daily routine—such as skipping the straw—we saved 20,174 pounds of paper and plastic from being wasted and ending up in landfills! That weight is equal to 3.4 Asian elephants.
Miss those leaky pipes? We didn’t think so. By keeping our homes in check, we saved 16,640 gallons of water!
We also diverted over 12,000 pounds of food from landing in the waste bin!
Together, we were able to show the world that a collective, meaningful impact in the health of our life-sustaining blue planet IS possible!
